Bass Coast Health is excited to welcome Dr Corry DeNeef to the senior medical team.

Dr Corry DeNeef graduated from University of Melbourne in 1981. His immediate post-graduate years were spent at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, the Royal Children’s Hospital, Royal Women’s Hospital and Albury Base Hospital.

He then worked for the Royal Flying Doctors Service in the Kimberley of Western Australia for 3 years. After this he worked in Orbost Medical Group for many years, performing all the duties you would expect in a remote rural practice, including running aerobic classes and engaging in the local theatre group.

After returning to Melbourne. He tried city general practice before entering the Pain Management Program of the RANZCA, and after completing the 2 year program, he specialised as a Pain Physician. Initially working in the Palliative Care Unit at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Echuca Base Hospital, and a private Pain Clinic in Kew, after several months he started working exclusively in Peter MacCallum which he has done for the last 12 years, with monthly clinics for Palliative Care in Mildura.

Corry will now be working at Bass Coast Health on a part-time basis providing Pain services and Palliative Care services.

Referrals for palliative care and acute or persistent Pain can be referred through to one of Dr DeNeef Clinics for consultation and ongoing shared care.
