Introduction
Bass Coast Health (BCH) participates in work experience programs for Secondary students in non-clinical areas and limited VCAL placements within the clinical environment. The purpose of this program is to maximise prospects for work experience students to gain valuable experience and learning opportunities within the public health sector.
The work experience student program is planned and implemented to ensure a coordinated approach across departments with consideration shown to service delivery requirements, availability and capacity of employees to supervise the placement and the learning objectives of the student.
