New Developments

We are undergoing massive growth to accommodate the growing population throughout our sub-region of Bass Coast and South Gippsland shires.

In 2022, the $115 million first stage of the new Wonthaggi Hospital opened, with stages 2 and 3 to follow with a budget of $290 million.

The first stage of the Phillip Island Community Hospital opened in 2025, featuring an expanded Urgent Care Centre, and radiology and pathology services. The second stage is now under construction and will be completed early in 2026.
