Adeline is the first baby born at Wonthaggi Hospital this year

Bass Coast Health is proud to announce Adeline Grace Crowder of South Dudley is the first baby born at Wonthaggi Hospital in 2023.

Adeline was born at 9.20am on Tuesday 3 January to Jayde Kelly and Michael Crowder who were overjoyed. Adeline weighed 3300 grams.

“It’s pretty exciting to know that Adeline is the first baby born here for the year. It will be great to look back at in years to come,” Michael said.

The new parents praised the care they received from our Maternity team.

“All the staff were amazing. They genuinely care and they were approachable so you could ask them for anything,” Jayde said.

Michael added, “The service was great and the staff enjoy a laugh.”

In 2022, 180 babies were born at Wonthaggi Hospital, up slightly from 173 in 2021.
