Bass Coast Health provides a 10 out of 10 service to our NDIS clients

Bass Coast Health (BCH) has excelled during its NDIS review, ensuring the health service can continue to provide vital services to the community.

BCH provides Allied Health, Planned Activity Groups and Community Nursing (continence care) through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), and also has NDIS participants in its aged care facilities.

Last week, an experienced external auditor took BCH NDIS services through its paces as part of the NDIS mid-cycle accreditation assessment, and the results confirmed that our services are high-quality.

“This result has been the culmination of significant effort by many people and we were thrilled that our NDIS assessor found no non-conformities,” BCH CEO Jan Child said.

“Our assessor will be completing his report to the NDIS Commission to note that BCH meets all requirements for the mid-cycle assessment under the NDIS Safety and Quality Practice Standards.”

The assessor said it was a pleasure talking with staff and NDIS participants at BCH, with participants saying they were grateful for the care they received, our activities were enjoyable, and the staff were lovely, caring and approachable. The assessor also commented that all staff he interviewed were experienced and knowledgeable.

“Participants were asked to score BCH out of 10 and they all gave us 10 out of 10,” Ms Child said.

“This is excellent acknowledgement of the fantastic work these teams do, every day, and is a great validation of the high-quality care that is provided. Staff in these areas should be very proud.”
