Community members invited to contribute to Bass Coast Health

News

Bass Coast Health (BCH) takes pride in working with our community to deliver optimal healthcare to the residents and visitors of Bass Coast and South Gippsland.

Our Community Advisory Committee (CAC) is essential in helping us gather the community’s feedback about our current services and also services they would like to see in the future.

BCH is now seeking expressions of interest from three new members to fill vacancies on our CAC and act as a conduit between the community, the Board of Directors, the Executive and staff.

Current CAC Chair Diana Holmberg would love people who are passionate about healthcare and the community to join.

“The CAC helps to ensure broader community needs and expectations are considered in decision-making about the health service,” she said.

“We also share news about our expanding services with our community. We provide feedback and advice, and represent the community on committees that ensure consumer voice is central to the delivery of our health services.

“We seek members of all ages and backgrounds who can bring lived experience, skills and considered thinking.

“Most of the members have multiple connections into the community through other organisations such as the U3A and RSL.”

The CAC had a pivotal role in the planning of the new Wonthaggi Hospital that opened recently. See our current CAC Members here: www.basscoasthealth.org.au/about/community-advisory-committee

Please note this is a non-paid (voluntary) role.
