Occupational Therapy

Health professionals can access our Referrals

Occupational Therapists offer a variety of services to improve function and help promote independence. Services include: assessment and rehabilitation of physical and functional skills for both inpatients and outpatients, rehabilitation in individual and group settings. We provide home and community visits to work with individuals and their families to devise strategies, recommend modifications and provide equipment such as shower stools, rails and small aides to assist in the activities of daily living.

Occupational Therapy - Paediatrics

Paediatric Occupational therapists assist children to maximise their abilities. Mostly, occupational therapists work with children to assist them with self-care development, gross and fine motor skills, and behaviour and sensory issues.

We see children from 0-18 years, both with and without a diagnosed disability. Our service is targeted towards clients with mild to moderate levels of impairment, however we are closely linked in with other paediatric services in the area and we may be able to refer families to a more relevant service, dependent on their child’s need.

We offer a range of interventions, ranging from individual therapy to group based multi-disciplinary treatments.

Admission Criteria for OT Services

Referral can be self-referral or by other service providers. If you are over 65 years old, you need to get referred through My Aged Care.
